Hoarding Sisters... It's not Hoarding when you have cool stuff!
I am a collector who is passionate about vintage items, from jewelry to furniture and everything in between. Offering vintage or antique pieces allows people to have a one-of-a-kind item that not only has the craftsmanship and durability but is also eco-friendly. My personal collection is ever-changing as I find, learn, and fall in love with new pieces. As with many collectors turned sellers, I love and buy more than I collected. I started selling in local groups and markets, and the decision was easy to open my Etsy shop in 2014.
My treasure hunting started with lessons from my mother, who was also a collector of antique furniture. She taught us not to be wasteful, to try and repair or upcycle something before getting rid of it, and to donate unwanted items before adding them to the landfill. I had great appreciation for those lessons she taught us!
Today, I frequent garage sales and thrift stores along with estate sales, markets, and antique stores. I love the memories that flood back when I find something from my childhood or something I remember my grandparents having. I'm excited when I find that piece of history or that item I know is different from anything else I can find mass-produced today. I am delighted that I am able to share this passion with my family and my customers. I incorporate vintage fashions and home decor with new. I appreciate the detail and beauty of vintage items that have stood the test of time and add them to my everyday life. It's one way I recycle, reuse, and upcycle while getting many more years of enjoyment from these amazing pieces.
